The Life Before Us

"You have achieved success if you have lived well, laughed often and loved much."

Right after dinner, we decided to go for a walk today instead of sitting down and watching the tube. It's another gorgeous day outside and what better way than to spend it outdoors. We went for a walk in this bird sanctuary and wildlife refuge just a few miles from my house. It's a really nice place to be especially if bird watching is one of your vice. There's plenty of birds and all kinds of life in the water. I saw a slithering snake and I run away from it. But I can't help but stand in awe as I watch the red-winged blackbirds flying around happily hopping from one branch to another then back on the reeds that grow in the water. There were abundance of beaver swimming along building their nests with the reeds. There were ducks, swans, geese and their goslings waddling along with them. The blue heron was such a show off when it flew over head and I miss the picturesque view it created. I should have brought my tripod but it wasn't planned. We will just treasure in our minds some of these moments that we did not capture in my camera. We had a great time watching the life in front us , we feel as if we're in the Discovery Channel wildlife show. The symphony of the bird's song is not something that Mozart or any great composer could have done. It's just beautiful and unique only nature can do it.
